In reverence to the sepulchres of the dead
& all therein performed.
In this temple of Hades amass
w/ ancestral burial cairns.
I offer this ornament, a serpent w/ a ram's head
as a symbol of sacrifice.
A precursor to chthonic bloodshed
in hopes it will suffice.
To appease Thanatos; the lord of the dead
& son of the night.
As the blade is about to pierce flesh
now we must advert our eyes.

Hear me death, whose empire unconfined.
Extends to mortal tribes of every kind.
On thee, the portion of our time depends.
Whose absence lengthens life, whose presence ends.

Exsanguinate the crimson from this shell
draining into a cleft in the ground.
Soaking through & absorbed by this fertile earth
ceremoniously dripping down.
Flowing into a dank expanse of caves
& the blood red river of hate.
Until this host stares death in the face
before this vessel decays.
Dissidents to these rites will meet a horrid fate
wrest away life dissipates.
Decapitate, remove the head of the slain
place it upon a spit for display.

Place the coins upon their eyes for Charon
as passage for those that’s died.
Lead dolls in coffins restrained, inscribed in spells
for enemies left alive.
To conjure the restless dead that brandish
torturous punishment.
The souls will well; in unrest ascend the grave
& revel in malevolence.
Upon his throne death shall laugh, enriched /w/
the sighs & tears of fatality.
As these rites recommence, prepare the sacrifice
to meet their own mortality.

Thy sleep perpetual bursts the vivid folds.
By which the soul attracting body holds.
Common to all, of every sex & age.
For nought escapes thy all-destructive rage.

Split the chest cavity & rejoice
to bathe in the flowing arterial spray.
There's no escape from death, suffocate
under the pressure of this your final day.
Hoisted up, above ruins & leering down
know that you'll be reduced to sacrificial remains.
Inhale the flesh festering, nauseate
bargaining w/ death, what did you hope to obtain?
Slit the throat, bleeding out & gurgling
a death rattle frothing w/ finality.
Shaded by the reaper's scythe, ride the blade
there's no escape from this death unyielding.
